All good things must come to an end... ie the clean up

So after a month run of Crazy For You and then another week of follies, we finally got to clean up and strike the show. And boy did it take forever. It started with almost 200 pieces going to the cleaners, seperating shoes into the correct bins, suspenders galore, probably about 10 or so loads of laundry, and packing up the costumes into the correct wardrobe boxes to go on the truck. And we weren't just throwing things in the boxes, everything had to be counted and put into it's own designated box. Not to meantion that most of them were falling apart. I hate carboard. Then the huge finale costumes had to be bubble wraped and packed into two large crates. And yes, Lexy is in the crate. So after a few days of that, we got to load everything into a 50 foot semi, that was over 2 hours late. We filled the entire thing, right up to the back doors. Had to actually move a few chairs to get the door shut. I don't think there was a single sad face in the building that day when the truck drove off. We were all happy to see it go. It was fun while it lasted, but I'm glad it's over. It completely wore me out. So here are a few pictures of shoe painting for the show and my costume plot that took me hours. Yes it's about 10 pages taped together.
