Affectionatly known as Belly, we got Bandit over 12 years ago, along with his brother Bruno, when Brandon left on his misson. Sadly, Bruno was hit by a car a few years after that. We attempted once to get him a friend, Marmaduke (Duke) the great dane puppy, but he was little too much to handle. He barked a lot.
Well, Bandit passed away today. He was always the sweetest dog. You couldn't sit on the floor without him right next to you with his chin on your leg. You would reach down to pet him and he would automatically roll over for a belly rub. That's how he became Belly. He also hated any kind of storm. He would attach himself to whomever was home if mom wasn't.
He was self conscience when eating. He would walk away if you came in the room. He loved apples and citrus. There was also a little jealous side to him. When the grandkids would come over, if anything was left on the floor, he would take it outside. He wouldn't chew it or tear it up, he would just drop it outside.
He also loved to lay on anything that was on the floor. It could be anything from a blanket to a sock. If it was soft, he would lay on it.
Our family has a lot of memories with him after having him for so long. He will be missed. I felt blessed to have him in my life as a dear and loving friend. He always loved me no matter what.
