Penguin madness!!!

If you have ever seen the movie Madagascar, you have seen this penguin. Well my friend Amie and I have an inside joke about it. If you really want to hear the story then ask me and I'll tell you. Short version is that it has become our traveling penguin and we always send stuff to each other when we find it. Here are just a few.

I actually did make it to Central Park Zoo where it all began. He made it home. I'll post that when I get around to scanning the pic.

Tattoo!

One of the guys in our up coming has to have a tattoo for the show. We got some paint on tattoo stuff and I had to cut out about 30 stensils with an ex-acto knife. That took FOREVER. So we all decided too try the stuff out to see how it works. I, of course, did a shamrock. Whitney had stars and I drew up a galloping horse for Marjie. It was pretty fun. Tee hee hee!

Dress up day!

So Whitney and I picked up a bunch of donated clothes today. We decided to wear two of the hats home. Got a few looks. It was awesome.

We then all proceeded to try on a bunch of the costumes and clothes. Fell in love with this yellow jacket. Marjie wouldn't let me take it though cause it had the potentioal of making it on stage. So I took one of the other ones that is a light blue. Almost the same cut. I also found an adorable dress. I love free stuff. And sailor hats!

The hat series

So when you're in theatre you come in contact with many different hats. Some you make, some you find, and some catch your eye in the store. These are a few of the many fun hats that are way too much fun to play with.

This one I found in the dollar store a few weeks ago. Too fun to pass for a pic moment.
This would be me in my semi-hat at work. I don't usually wear a headset during the show, but this show is helped a lot. Yeah for Altar Boyz!

Ahh, the straw boater. I bought this last year for a show I designed for MCC called Picasso at the Lapine Agile. This is one of my favorites.
This is a hat I made for another show at MCC last year. It's blue leather. Also made a brown one. Fun stuff.
This is me attempting the cowgirl theme for Follies a few months ago. Amber let me borrow her hat. I looked pretty good if I do say so myself. Haha!
So this was actually taken this summer in Sedona when I was working the shows. This matching hat and scarf were made and given to me by one of my actors. It was so sweet of her. Now that it's cold outside I actually get to wear it!
This hat I found in our costume storage for Southwest Shakespeare. It was adorable. I'm sure there will be more to come at a future date. :)

Sunsets

I love Sundays. Amber, Brad and I walked out of church Sunday mid-afternoon and this is what we saw. Gorgeous!
